2024 Housing Management Changes
Beginning September 1, 2024, the following changes will be implemented in on-campus housing to enhance the student experience and streamline services for the growing number of students living on campus.
The university will no longer have residential advisors (RAs) who previously served as property managers and focused on student wellbeing. There will now be two departments working together to meet student housing needs:
- Housing Operations will take over property management functions including helping students secure housing, collecting payments, and completing property inspections to ensure that buildings are clean and safe.
- Residential Living will provide services related to student living standards and the resident experience, assisting in the creation of a peaceful living environment. This area will report to student life vice president, Kala Kau.
