Cleaning Checklist
This checklist helps you stay on top of cleanliness and safety. To ace your upcoming inspection, please ensure your space is tidy, disinfected, and meets the Housing guidelines listed below.
Furniture/Clutter/Pests
- Remove any unauthorized items
- Remove clutter, organize surfaces & cabinets
- Ensure the unit is pest-free
- Furniture in the designated place
Trash
- Empty, clean, & disinfect the trash can
- Clean the wall around the trash can
- Replace the trash bag
Kitchen (As Applicable)
- Clean & disinfect the kitchen sink
- Clean all surfaces & cabinets (inside & outside)
- Clean & organize items in cabinets
- Clean & disinfect fridge, freezer, stove/oven (inside, outside, behind)
- Clean & disinfect microwave (and ceiling above)
- Clean washer, dryer & vent
- Eliminate all mold with chemicals
Living/Dining Room (As Applicable)
- Clean dining table & chairs
- Clean ceiling fans & light fixtures
- Vacuum in and under the couch
- Launder couch cover
- Wash & air dry curtains (do not put in dryer)
Bedroom(s)
- Clean all surfaces (all furniture, windowsills, air vents, etc.)
- Clean ceiling fans & light fixtures
- Clean & organize all items (desk, closet, under the bed, etc.)
- Make the bed (wash bed bug cover)
Bathroom
- Clean & disinfect bathroom sink/vanity & mirror
- Clean & disinfect shower/bathtub, shower head, handles, & shower curtain (including the grout)
- Clean & disinfect toilet (inside, outside, behind)
- Eliminate all mold with chemicals
Floors
- Vacuum all carpet
- Sweep and mop all other floors in the unit
- Clean baseboards
Doors/Windows/Screens/Walls
- Dry scrub screen windows and doors
- Clean all walls, doors, & frames
- Clean all windows/louvers & frames (inside & outside)
Exterior
- Ensure no personal items & trash on walkways between each unit
- Clean all windows, doors, & frames (exterior)
Damages
Report broken or non-functioning items by submitting a work order.
