A Guide for Establishing Peace at Home

At BYU–Hawaii we have the unique opportunity to fulfill David O. McKay’s vision of “establishing peace internationally.” Establishing peace internationally starts in the home with your roommates. The Residential Living Guide intends to show how you might create, nurture, and sustain a peaceful environment between you and your roommates in circumstances where living with others can be a challenge. There is no better time or place to learn how to establish peace in your home than right now. Applying the guiding principles of personal integrity, respect, and Christlike service will lay a foundation for a life of peaceful living.

Roommate and Unit Agreements

To promote positive communication and interpersonal relationships, all residents are required to complete both a Roommate Agreement and a Unit Agreement at the beginning of each semester.
