BYU–Hawaii On-Campus Housing Handbook

Welcome

The living environment is an essential part of the student experience. Our Residential Living and Housing Operations teams are committed to establishing a safe, clean, and peaceful environment.

This handbook outlines housing standards and responsibilities designed to provide a positive living experience. Policies may be updated by the university at any time. Students must understand and comply with these expectations, as well as those in their housing contract.

BYU–Hawaii On-Campus Housing Handbook

  • Residential Living

Residential Living focuses on the student experience within the hales. Their work centers on roommate relationships and community building, student well-being, and creating a positive living environment for the people in the buildings.

    Housing Operations

Housing Operations focuses on the operations, from contracts and billing to room assignments, inspections, and maintenance, in partnership with Facilities Management.

  • The university uses email for its primary means of official communication. Students are responsible for checking their account regularly; missed emails do not excuse deadlines, responsibilities, or policy violations. In certain circumstances, the university may need to reach out through text, call, or in-person communications.
